Step 1 - Decorative mouldings design

Measure the dimensions of the walls and calculate the number of slats, adding a 25% margin. Create a design based on the dimensions.

Step 2 - Preparing the substrate

Make sure the surface is dry, clean and smooth. Protect the floor and furniture with cover foil.

Step 3 - Cutting the elements

Mark the cutting points, use a mitre box or an electric saw and sand the edges with sandpaper.

Step 4 - Gluing the mouldings

Apply glue in a zigzag pattern, press the piece against the wall and remove any excess glue with a brush and water. Fill the gaps with joint compound.

Step 5 - Painting the slats

Apply painter's tape, paint the slats with solvent-free paint, apply two coats and remove the tape when dry.
